(VOGUE) Nestled along the Nicoya coast of Costa Rica lies Santa Teresa, a laid-back surf town where shoes are heavily discouraged. When I heard about Hotel Fermata’s grand opening at the end of 2025, I knew I had to be one of the first to experience the bohemian bliss. The husband-wife duo behind Hotel Fermata are no strangers to curating properties with stylish Costa Rican charm (this is their second boutique property in the country). My boyfriend, a surfing fanatic, is especially excited as the property sits on the famous La Lora surf break. I plan to spectate from the comfort of a beach chair while holding a punctured coconut. Ah, Pura Vida.
